Team Hong Kong – Champions of the inaugural GBIHL!

Team Hong Kong defeated Foshan Shunde in two games of the best of three series to set up a winner takes all final against Team Shenzhen.  Shenzhen defeated Macau, also in two games.  It was a close game between Hong Kong and Shenzhen as it went back and forth.  Shenzhen took a 3-2 lead mid-way into the final period on a shorthanded goal by Yan Dong. But Hong Kong fought back with three unanswered goals in the final eight minutes to come away with a 5-3 win.
